Description: Every summer in Richmond, BC, not one but two mammoth outdoor Asian night markets welcome more than one million visitors. Haggling for quirky trinkets at the hundreds of vendor stalls is a must - as is watching the hilarious contests on the entertainment stage. But it's the food that's earned these mega-popular events a reputation as two of the top night markets worldwide. Close your eyes, take in the smells of grilled squid or barbequed pork buns and you'll almost believe you're in Hong Kong or Taipei - minus the jetlag. The two markets open in May and operate on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday evenings through to September (International Summer Night Market) and October (Richmond Night Market).
