The mansions serve as year-round sites for quality educational and cultural events, and tours for local, national, and international visitors. 19th Century Christmas - Looking for a genuine, non-commercial holiday experience for you and your family? Immerse yourselves in the traditional joys of the holidays at our 19th Century Christmas celebration! Simple, heartfelt expressions of the season come to life through live music, festive holiday trimmings and homespun arts and crafts all designed to help keep the season sweet, sane and simple. Join us for a jolly time at Deere-Wiman House and Butterworth Center, where you'll find:
  • Beautiful decorations throughout both homes
  • Exclusive appearance by Santa Claus (bring your camera!)
  • Free book for each of Santa's first 400 visitors
  • Performance by the Moline Boys Choir at Butterworth Center
  • Face painting for children and caricature artist
  • Art show and Childrens make-and-take crafts (sponsored by Left Bank Art League) in the Deere-Wiman Carriage House
  • Childrens make-and-take crafts in the Education Center
